YOU ARE GOD’S BENEFICIARY

Grace Daily Devotional

10/14/2024

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Romans8:37)

Being born again means you are God's beneficiary. God's beneficiary of what? Someone might ask, You are His beneficiary of whatever you need or want from Him. 1 Corinthians 3:21 says, "Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours." God wrote you a blank check based on the victory He accomplished in Christ Jesus and what you do now is to cash those checks. This is what it means to be more than conquerors. You were born to enjoy the dividends of Christ's victory.

For example, in Colossians 2:15, the Bible says, "Having disarmed principalities and powers, He [Jesus] made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it." In essence, He disarmed them for you. Now, when the devils of depression or the ones that attack your self-esteem show up, you treat them exactly as they are, disarmed. They may bark all they want but they have no bite. So what do you do to them? You tell them to shut up and get out in the name of their disarmer, Jesus!

In another example, 2 Corinthians 8:9 says, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich."This means that you are a beneficiary of stupendous wealth. And do let anyone tell you this portion of scripture implies spiritual poverty and spiritual wealth to mean that what you go is intangible. Understand that all tangible wealth is first spiritual. So, Jesus became poor. He left heaven and took on the earthly form so that you could access heaven's riches on earth.

Understand that the only suffering there is to the child of God is in persecutions and the beating down of your flesh into submission through spiritual exercise. Being born again was everything required to benefit from God's divine blank cheque of goodies for you. So the moment you realize you are struggling with anything, demons, getting a job or symptoms in your body, stop in your tracks and understand that you aren't cashing your cheque.

Philemon 1:6  tells us how to cash this blank cheque for anything. It says, "that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." In practical usage, you don't ask God to heal you if you are experiencing symptoms, you acknowledge that you were healed 2000 years ago (according to 1 Peter 2:24). You don't ask God to give you a job, you acknowledge that you have work (according to Ephesians 4:28). And if you have been battling demons in your sleep or in repeated bouts of depression, don't pray to God, rather acknowledge your authority over these creatures (according to Luke 10:19) and tell them to vamoose in Jesus mighty name.

Hallelujah!

Have a blessed day.

Faith-Filled Confession

I live a life of one that has passed conquering. No struggles. No begging. Rather, I acknowledge by my confession, every good thing that is in me in Christ Jesus and I am transported into the experiences that are aligned with my confessions. Herein is my rest and I bask in it to the glory of my God. Hallelujah!
