“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
The God-life that you received when you got born-again, is lived from your tongue. Your words are the boundaries of your achievements in this life. You are no greater than the words that you speak. The world around you is framed by your words. Just the way a baby learns to move its neck, sit, crawl, walk and eventually talk, is exactly the way the born again child of God must learn to talk the word of God if he or she is to grow and become proficient at living the God-life. James 3:2 says, “For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.” You may have heard all your life that no is perfect but not with the new creation. With the new creation in Christ, perfection is possible and it is only attainable by a Christian who has mastered the tongue.
In this regard, the born-again believer is like a factory line designed to churn out the word of God. As a matter of fact, if you have ever asked God about your purpose, this here is your answer. You were designed to release God’s word into the ether. God upholds everything in this world by His spoken word and you are His vessel. Hebrew 1:1-3 paints a picture of how God upholds this world. It says, “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”
Here is where you come in. Romans 8:16-17 says, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” You are a joint heir of all things. By you, God frames the world through the word of His power. These are pronouncements that emanate from generating power.
Going back to the illustration of a factory churning out words, it is important to understand that for the factory to churn out words from God, it must first be powered. This is what Jude 20 means when it says, “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.” When you pray in the Holy Spirit, the factory of words is powered up to begin to churn out God’s thoughts about your life, family, city, church and anything He desires. Paul understood the power generation aspect of fulfilling divine purpose that he said, “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all; yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue” (1 Corinthians 14:18-19). Why? Because praying in the Spirit is for power generation to do the actual work of producing words that uphold God’s intentions for this world and the people in it including you.
This year, focus on speaking in tongues even when you are not exclusively in prayer. Generate power such that when you speak the words that God put in your spirit, there’s power to back the words. Understand that you are a king and “Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?”(Ecclesiates 8:4)
After His creativity, this power generation and word producing quality was the second thing the Lord wanted us to know about His quality of life even at the very beginning of scripture. Genesis 1:2-3 says, “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” That hovering over the face of the waters was a form of power generation and then, God spoke and His words had the power to effect a change.
It doesn’t matter what you are faced with. Speak in other tongues and generate power. Then, start to speak from your spirit as you are moved. There’s no backing down. Keep speaking in tongues about the situation until words flow forth.
Glory be to the Lord Jesus Christ!!!
Faith-Filled Confession
I am inundated with the power of God. Therefore, I stir up this power until words from on high proceed from my lips. The mountains and hills skip at the words on my lips and I uphold the lives, destinies and geographies connected to me by the power of the Holy Ghost at work in me. Praise God.
PRAYER DIRECTION
1 Peter 1:8
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
Pray and declare that today is your day of JOY and Thank the Lord for flooding your life with joy.
Nehemiah 8:10
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
2. Declare that you and your household are disconnected from every form of sorrow and grief in the might name of Jesus. Because the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Genesis 30:22-24
Then God remembered Rachel. He listened to her and opened her womb, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. “God has taken away my shame,” she said. She named him Joseph, and said, “May the LORD add to me another son.”
3. Pray for those who are expecting children; Pray that they will be pregnant this year and carry their pregnancy to full term in the mighty name of Jesus.
