“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27)
The purpose of Christ in you is to showcase Himself through you to the world. This is why you ought not to live an ordinary life. You ought not to just be getting by, or living a life of barely-enough. No. If you are born-again, you ought to be top-class in everything. 1 Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” This means that everywhere you find yourself, you ought to be outstanding. Why? Because God lives in you.
The only caveat is that many don’t know how to court the Lord from within themselves and turn Him loose on the circumstances of their lives for the fact that they are oblivious to His purpose inside them in the first place.
1 Corinthians 2:12-13 says, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” There are things that God has freely granted to you, which you ought to speak forth into existence.
These things, the Bible says, “...No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined…[but]... God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). These are answers to problems. These are death-defying solutions that ,if these became known, would shift the world into a much happier place.
Alas, many of God’s children aren’t engaging the Holy Spirit within, as they should. Many are too distracted and others are just plain lazy. But if you would speak in tongues long enough, you would unleash the words that would set in motion the materials, people, resources and circumstances that would alter whole civilizations and bring many to Christ.
Through you, the Lord within, seeks to perplex the principalities and powers of this age. Ephesians 3:10 NLT puts it this way: “God’s purpose in all this was to use the church [you and me] to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.”
When the Lord said, “Occupy until I come” in Luke 19:13, what He meant was to show forth my wisdom and glory through speaking Spirit-powered words that you get from praying long in tongues.
You can still make a difference. Spend time speaking in tongues and releasing prophetic words today.
God bless you!
Faith-Filled Confession
The purpose of Christ in me is to uphold this world in love until His return. I am positioned to build myself on my most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit to produce Spirit-induced outcomes in words of prophecy and exhortation. Amen!
Prayer Direction
Intercede for our brethren that are facing various trials in all our churches, that they remain unshakeable, unshaken, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Declare that they will continue to shine as light in the midst of the darkness in the world. (1 Cor 15:58, Philippians 2:13-14; Heb 6:10)
Pray for those who have been inconsistent in their faith; that they be no longer children tossed to and fro and that Christ may be formed in their hearts as they are strengthened in those things that are most surely believed among us. (Lk 1:3, Eph 4:14)
