“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
When you were born again, a profound transformation occurred: you died, went to hell, and were raised from the dead by God’s Holy Spirit. This might have seemed instantaneous and inconsequential, but it was a monumental event made possible through Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the conduit through which this transformation took place, ensuring that sin, lust, and the devil no longer hold sway over your decisions, unlike those who have not been saved. Romans 6:4 states, “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life.”
The newness of life is the life of God within you. It is a life that is free from mistakes. This is why the excuse of not being perfect will not hold on judgment day. The newness of life is an overcoming life. Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who believes has eternal life” (John 6:47 NASB). It is through this life that you have overcome and can continue to overcome the wicked one (1 John 2:13); overcome the world (John 16:33; 1 John 5:4); and overcome the flesh with its affections and lusts (Galatians 5:24).
To live this newness of life, Paul shares, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). And living by faith means living by your confessions of the Word of God. Romans 10:8 says, “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.” Confess the Word with thanksgiving in every situation you face today and begin to speak in tongues. Whether it’s a medical report, credit card statement, or eviction notice, confess what God has said with thanksgiving and begin to speak in tongues. Continue this process frequently until you receive a note of victory in your heart.
The newness of life is an overcoming life. So, overcome with it.
Have an excellent day!
Faith-Filled Confession
I thank the Lord Jesus Christ that His pulsating life is bubbling within me. It’s in every fiber of my being. It’s in my blood and guides every decision I make in the righteousness of God. I am excellent. I am a wonder and I win today with the overcoming life of God in me. Hallelujah!
