"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19).
On account of the death, resurrection, and accession of Jesus Christ, life for the believer should be an absolute beauty. This is why I say that the believer in Jesus should not have to suffer again. And I am not speaking about being persecuted for one's faith, which the Bible calls an honor in Matthew 5:11 but suffering again for the very things that Jesus paid for you to have.
Child of God, there is nothing in this world or beyond that can make you a victim. Jesus said in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world, you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]" In other words, the things that destroy the ordinary man cannot destroy you if you are born again. Better still, the one that is born again is unconquerable. 1 Peter 1:23 says, "For you have been born again [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God."
Did the Scripture just say that we are born of imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God? Yes! We are! HALLELUJAH! Now, you see why I have repeatedly said that God is not concerned about the devil when it comes to you. He is also not bothered by the things that oppose His will for your life. As far as Heaven is concerned, there is no impossibility, limitation, or defeat for you. I love the way David puts it in Psalm 27:1-2. He said, "The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall." Hallelujah! Brother! Sister! We have something greater than David had. We have the indwelling presence of God abiding in us. Not only is the Lord our light and salvation, but 1 Corinthians 1:30 says that God has made Christ Jesus unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.
Knowing these truths, how can you have a bad day? How can you still carry a long face like the rest of the world? Saints, we have too much power in us for us to lose sleep over adverse circumstances. Jesus already said in John 16:33 that we should "[take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For He has already overcome the world. He said [I have deprived it of power or ability to harm you and have conquered it for you.]" In other words, the world and everything in it has been subdued for us. Now papa God calls us lords—people with absolute authority and ability to regulate every spiritual enterprise on the earth.
Saints, you have authority in Christ to rule and dominate the elements of this world. Jesus said, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Now is the time to use the mighty name of Jesus Christ to disallow every force opposing God's destiny for your life and those around you.
Faith-filled Confession:
The Lord Jesus is exalted in my life. He is above every situation or challenge that comes my way. I am confident of the power that is in the name of Jesus. Therefore, I declare in the name of Jesus that I am in health; I have rest on every side. I have been severed from darkness and all its manifestations. I live the God-life now. I prosper all day and in all things, in Jesus' name, Amen.
