"For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God" (Romans 8:19).
From time to time, I get asked this question, "Why did Jesus come?" My answer is always, He came to give us Zoé--God's divine life. John 10:10 NLT says “Jesus came to give us a rich and satisfying life. One of unending streams of laughter, joy, and progress, void of sin, defeat, and misery. The follow-up question is always, “Pastor, is that even possible?" My answer is YES! It's possible because God's Word says it is. Praise God!
Jesus said in John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” In other words, we are wired, equipped, and fashioned to live out God's divine life and character in everything. Like Jesus, we have within us what it takes to live a life of absolute dominion over this world.
However, the question remains, why don't we see these manifestations? The answer is simple, many don’t believe the Word. Better still, many are not growing in the things of God. Yes, they may attend church services and may even serve in senior positions in the church, but the reality is that they are not DOERS of the Word. James 1:25 says “But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”In other words, doing as the Word says brings about the manifestation of the divine life.
This month, God is urging us to reflect Heaven's expectations of us. He is calling us to answer our name because the world around us is crying out to Him for intervention. Romans 8:19 says, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." Are we going to heal their sick, calm their storms and bring them hope? How do we plan to respond? I hear God say, "I have given to you what the world needs”. God is saying, "Be Me to your world.”
Saints, it's time to respond to the spiritual needs in our world. So I say to you, don’t second guess yourself or the Holy Spirit that lives in you this month. The Lord says, "I am with you, and I will teach you My Word. I will guide your steps, and you will not fail."
With that, I welcome you to February, your month of SHINING.
Faith-Filled Confession:
Father, I thank You for making me a vessel that illuminates and imparts life by the power of the Holy Ghost. Thank You for making me an exhibition of God's perfection. As light, I declare that my life reveals Christ and makes known His saving grace everywhere I go. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Prayer Point
Proverbs 29:2 – When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
2 Timothy 3:8-9 – Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their’s also was.
Pray against men or institutions who set themselves to foster Anti Christ agenda that are design to hinder the spread of the gospel, we declare that such forces proceed no further, and the efforts made are futile.
Pray for continued peace and prosperity in this nation, that fosters the spread and impact of the gospel in all geopolitical zones, in all sectors of this country and in all strata of society.
We pray for increase in gospel activities in our cities through our multifaceted ministry departments; we declare that evil is completely overturned, as sinners pour through these and many other avenues into the Kingdom of God.
