"The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears." (Isaiah 11:2-3)
The Christian ought to be the perfect picture of Isaiah 11:2-3. Why? The Bible says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). This means then that the only authorized way for a Christian to interpret anything is based on the Word of God.
For illustration, imagine that an airline pilot looked out of the window of the cockpit of a Boeing 777 to decipher where to land the aircraft. This would not only be dangerous but the aircraft will run out of fuel trying to find the runway. In the same way, so many believers use their eyes and ears to interpret things when they ought to use the instrumentality of the Word.
A clear example is in the aspect of health. Isaiah 33:24 says, "And the inhabitant [of Zion] will not say, “I am sick”; The people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity." Now, as an inhabitant of Zion, with the pure life of God pulsating in your body, what do you say when for example, your body presents medical conceptions of symptoms? How do you interpret and respond to them?
The Christian ought to side with the Word of God interpretation which may be found in Proverbs 4:20-22: "My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh."
Learn to use the Word of God as your interpreter. If the life you live is your own, then you are at liberty to interpret the circumstances of your life how you please. But as the life you have belongs to God, your responsibility is to subject it to the designated interpreter, the Word of God.
Hebrews 4:12-13 gives us the power range of this powerful tool that God would have us use to interpret and respond to circumstances and eventualities. It says, "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."
You don't know enough to respond to life matters with your head. Use the Word of God.
Have a great day
Faith-Filled Confession
I live the God-life. I think, talk and act in conformity to the life that pulsates beneath my chest, knowing that as the Father has life in Himself, so do I. Hallelujah !
PRAYER DIRECTION
Ephesians 3:16-19
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Pray that our brethren will walk in the revelation of the love of God in increasing measure, bearing fruit in every good work, fulfilling their purpose without reproach.
Pray that they will experience more visitation from the Holy Ghost that will catapult their walk with God to a whole new level of conviction and faith.
Pray and declare that every evil plan against them is dismantled in Jesus name. Declare that they walk in victory and health in Jesus name.
