"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him" (Colossians 3:17).
God is the master strategist. It is impossible to fail when you walk in His light. Jesus put it this way in John 8:12: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." In other words, your decision to follow Jesus not only makes you light but also, makes it impossible for you to walk in darkness. Hence, you are eternally victorious over every form of darkness.
Follow the instructions of the Master and live a life of perpetual bliss. His instructions may not always be logical, but be rest assured that they will deliver you success and victory every time. I love what Mary, the mother of Jesus, said to Jesus' disciples in John 2:5. She said, "Do whatever He tells you." In other words, no matter how ridiculous His instruction may sound, just do it! I have always said, never expect God to make sense.
Who else but God would have come up with the ridiculous idea of appointing singers to go before the army of Israel as a strategy for victory? They don't teach you that in war school. Just imagine how the military generals of the day may have responded. I can imagine the scorn and laughter upon hearing God's strategy for victory. But it worked. The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:21-22 that "Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendor of His holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever." The moment they began praising, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah, and they were defeated."
I'll say it again; you cannot lose when you follow in the footsteps of Jesus. So stop the fear and stop asking "what if? Because there is no "what if" with God. When you follow in His footsteps, your steps become His footprints in the earth. Hallelujah!
Faith-Filled Confession:
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. He has infused me with His life and nature. My Hallelujah will rise to Him alone. Glory!
PRAYER DIRECTION FOR TODAY
Philemon 1:6
That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
Let’s begin by acknowledging the goodness, mercy and grace of God in and on our family.
Ephesians 1:18 AMP
And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people),
2 Kings 6:16-17
“Do not be afraid,” Elisha answered, “for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.”
And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw that the hills were full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Pray that God’s will grasp the enormity and immensity of the God life in them and walk in it effortlessly.
Luke 5:17
One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.
Pray and declare that people are coming from everywhere to our churches and the power of God in our midst is changing and transforming lives.
Zachariah 8:23
Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
Pray that God’s grace will find expression in our brethren such that people around them will be pulled into the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
