“And Jesus answering, says to them, "Have faith from God. Truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain, 'Be you taken away and be you cast into the sea,' and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he says takes place, it will be done for him.” (Mark 11:22-23 BLB)
There are different types of faith and every person on this planet exercises faith. There is no person that doesn’t exercise faith on this side of heaven. In order to live here, you must demonstrate faith. However, faith can be distinguished by its origin.
Before we continue further, it is necessary that we define faith. Faith is acting based on the credentials, certification or guarantee of another. You get on a plane and fly to Des Moines, Abuja or London based on the credentials of the airline and its pilots. You may travel to these places and back, never once seeing the pilot because seeing is not particularly important when it comes to faith.
Faith operates on the basis of credentials and as long as these credentials are intact people will take certain actions. Another example is people taking enormous amounts of student loans to go to an Ivy league school because of the future that such school guarantees.
Hebrews 11:1 AMPC says, “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, [a]the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. So, if faith must have a guarantor, it matters who the guarantor is.
Now in the Berean Literal Bible’s rendering of Mark 11:22, it says, “And Jesus answering, says to them, "Have faith from God.” In other words, act on the guarantees or certifications that God has given. Where can you find God’s guarantees or certifications? You can find them in His holy Word.
One of these guarantees that we find immediately after Mark 11:22 is in the immediate next verse, “Truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain, 'Be you taken away and be you cast into the sea,' and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he says takes place, it will be done for him.” (Mark 11:23 BLB). As long as you say something repeatedly without doubting believing that what you say will happen, the guarantee is that you will have what you say.
This means that you ought to say what you want to see particularly if what you are currently seeing is not desirable to you. This is God’s way. The Bible says, “Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations” ) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (Romans 4:16-17)
So, you are going to get into the word today and get yourself some guarantees and certifications from God. For example, in Luke 6:38, the Bible says, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” This is a guarantee. If you act on it, then, of necessity, people will give to you.
Don’t let anything dissuade you from getting guarantees about your health, joy, prosperity, home and sustenance today.
Get in the word and then, get in the God-faith.
Have a great day!
