PRAISE HIM ANYWAYS

Grace Daily Devotional

10/27/2024

“Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.” (Psalm 103:2-3).

Jesus said in Luke 16:10, "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." That is to say, the measure of your faithfulness when the little increase comes determines if you will experience a greater increase. In verse 11 of the same chapter, Jesus went on to say, "If then you haven't been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will entrust you with the true riches?" This is something that you must address if you desire to enjoy the fulness of the blessing of God's Word concerning you. If you are saying, "I don't see anything; I am still expectant." Your attitude towards God's Word may be the reason you have not seen a visible manifestation of increase so far. When God speaks to you, look out for the manifestation, not with your senses but with your spirit. Look around and find something that represents an increase in your life and begin to praise God for it. It is your praise that will usher in your desired miracle.

I am reminded of Jesus' encounter with the ten lepers in Luke 17:11-19. The Bible says: "And it came to pass, as He went to Jerusalem, that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as He entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when He saw them, He said unto them, go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And He said unto him, arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."

How many times have we missed out on God's greater blessings because we were focused on the spectacular? You may have been expecting a thousandfold increase, but what was your attitude when you received a tenfold increase? Did you trivialize it as nothing, or did you complain that it wasn't enough? Remember that it was the fellow that came back to give thanks that received God's greater blessing. When you express gratitude, you not only keep your blessing, but you also open yourself up to God's greater blessings.

So, I encourage you today, no matter what you may face, be thankful! Jesus said, "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." Even when the physical contradicts what God has said and shown to you, be a person of praise, for it is with praise and thanksgiving that you will unlock and experience God's greater blessings.

God bless you.

Faith-Filled Confession:

The Lord has enlarged my greatness and has caused me to experience increase in all directions: in my health, finances, relationships, and ministry. Today, I rejoice that I am a victor, not a victim; a success and not a failure; healed and not sick; honored and not disgraced; head and not the tail. Indeed, my greatness is increased, and I am comforted on every side. Praise God!
