“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens” (Revelations 3:7)
Every God-ordained church has an angel and this angel takes the form of a supervising spirit and the lead pastor or overseer of that particular congregation. The angel of a church works to regulate the church such that, as the church’s state is in heaven, the same state can be replicated on earth.
Now, in order to achieve this harmony between the heavenly state of a church and its earthly state, a messaging system was set up so that the angel assigned to a church can communicate to the set-person or overseer, who in turn passes the message to congregants. It is this message that determines the DNA of a church as distinct from any other congregation.
That said, our DNA as Grace House Church is hinged on three elements: Radical Faith, Genuine Love and Sacrificial Service to others.
Radical Faith entails tapping into our unlimited possibilities in God. We are radical in our actions based off of what God says to us. If He says a thing, then what He says is final and we can stake our lives on His statement to us. Our attitude is: “…But let God be true, and every man a liar, as it has been written: "That You may be justified in Your words, and will prevail in Your being judged (Romans 3:4). It’s not our business to know how God will bring to pass His word. However, our business is to believe and act in accordance with His Word.
Genuine love, which in Bible terms is plainly, love, is valuing another with the exact measurements of God according to His Word. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). He values everyone in the world with Jesus. And if you are worth Jesus, then what right have we not to love you? Jesus said, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35).
Lastly, sacrificial service to others is a key aspect of our DNA as a church. We are servants of the Lord and one another. Jesus said, “But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Matthew 23:11-12). We serve as a nature, and never begrudgingly. We serve others because in serving them, we serve our Lord and Christ, Jesus. So, we are constantly on the lookout for opportunities to serve others.
To what end has this message come to you today? You might ask. There no lessons or promotions in God without an examination. So begin to conscious attention to your faith walk, love walk and attitude to serving. There would be a lot of promotion opportunities but they will come in the form of tests.
Have a great day!
Faith-Filled Confession
I am being prepared by God in this season. Therefore, I mix this message with faith and thereby, profit from it. Hallelujah. My consciousness to walk by faith and love is heightened alongside my sensitivity to serving opportunities. It is my time for promotions and I am continually promoted in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer Direction
"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain" (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Pray that God’s people will remain steadfast, fervent and unmovable in the face of contrary wind and storm.
Pray that they will advance and blossom in all of God’s will concerning them.
Pray that our church will experience a prolific growth and expansion this month. That the brethren will run with the vision like never before. That through them, the kingdom of God will increase.
