"So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath." (James 1:19)
Very often, many believers speak and there is no power behind their words. They make pronouncements and nothing seems to happen. But something ought to happen when you speak. Ecclesiastes 8:4 says, "Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?”
The reason why there is no power is that many aren't speaking the words of the Father about the things they want to change. They aren't speaking the Father's words over the things they want to exact authority. And the simple reason for this is they haven't prayed long enough to secure a rhema word from God that they ought to speak.
Interestingly, this is the same reason why some Christian talk too much. They haven't made a habit of waiting in prayer until they hear what the Lord is saying to them and so they speak with haste. Hear me, the Bible says, "When words are many, sin is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise" (Proverbs 10:19)
God doesn't say much because He doesn't have to and if you are saying what He is saying, your words will be few. Even when you pray to the Father, let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:2 says, "Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few." Let God be the one to tell you what you should say in prayer, in prophecy, in conversation and in your response to others.
The way to achieve this level of discipline is by speaking in tongues for an extended amount of time. Use weekends and public holidays as opportunities to spend time praying for several hours and be long, there would be a taming of your tongue.
At this moment, God is not expecting you to talk a lot. Rather, He desires that you see, and this disciplining your tongues while paying attention with your spiritual eyes. Revelation 3:8 requires one action on your part. The Lord says, "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name."
As you speak in tongues copiously, your ability to see through meditation will be greatly sharpened and that is all you need.
Have an excellent day!
Faith-Filled Confession
I maintain my love for God and people with absolute sincerity. I only say what I hear the Lord say. And I only do what I see the Lord do, knowing that each time I say or do anything, the power of God is released to produce supernatural outcomes. Hallelujah !
