"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence" (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
Thanksgiving is the secret to answered prayers. Failing to give thanks to God is like purchasing merchandise worth $1,200 and then forgetting it at the store. Many Christians are like this. They pray a lot but never seem to record any answers to their prayers. Their prayer life is like a functioning but empty vending machine; this is usually the case because they delay their thanksgiving until they see a physical manifestation of a miracle. They are so focused on observing what's outside that they fail to see what is inside. They are sense-ruled rather than spirit-ruled. David said, “I will bless the Lord at ALL times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” In other words, our thanksgiving should be on the basis of our revelation of God and not what we observe with our senses. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Paul wrote, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Notice here that thanksgiving is the will of God.
If your thanksgiving is only connected to the physical manifestation of God’s faithfulness and grace in your life, then you will never see or experience the true beauty of God’s glory in your life, because sometimes, all you have after you have prayed is a word from God. And that really is all that you need to give thanks. From our opening text, we can see that as great as supplications, prayers and intercessions are, without thanksgiving, they amount to nothing.
Someone may ask, "At what point during the praying process am I supposed to give thanks?" The answer is simple--when you have made your request known to God. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” So if you have prayed and you have a "knowing" on the inside of you that God has heard and granted your request, then give Him thanks for it. Don’t allow anything in the physical to delay or sway you away from offering thanksgiving. For we know that God is not a man that He should lie, and as He has said, a quiet and peaceable life will be the order of your day when you give thanks on behalf of all men.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, thank You for giving me victory in every situation. I see your goodness on every side. You have made my life a wonder to the people of the earth. Today, I give thanks for who You are in me and to my world. I see your peace in the nations and by the power of the Holy Ghost, COVID-19 has become a thing of the past. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Prayer Direction
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12).
Psalm 102:2-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s."
Recall the wonders and benefits of God in your life this year and give Him the glory for it.
Declare that we have all things ready for DAY OF BLISS program and we are marvelously helped of God. That through this program, many are saved, healed, delivered and planted in the house of God.
