"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).
Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Notice what the Scripture says: God is a PRESENT help. In other words, the solution to whatever challenge you are facing right now is already present. For example, before any sickness attacked your body, healing was already made available to you, and regardless of what you experienced, the Word is unchanging. If the Word says you are healed, you are healed. You were healed before the sickness, and after the sickness failed to prevail in your body, you were still healed. So your healing was never based on how you felt but on the eternal Word of God.
The same principle can be applied to every area of your life. Your victory over financial distress was settled before you were born into this world. And there is nothing that can change the reality that you have prevailed. When you said "yes" to Jesus and got born again, you also said "yes" to victory, sound mind, wisdom, success, and preservation. As a result, these experiences legally and vitally became your reality. It had nothing to do with how you felt, but everything to do with God's eternal Word.
John 1:1 says, "...and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Because God is one with His Word, He only sees you through His Word. Many of God's people do not know this, but now that you are born again, Papa God no longer sees you as a sinner or as one in lack, sickness, failure, foolishness, or fear. As a result, He does not relate to you on those terms; He only sees you in His Word. And His Word says that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, a victor, success, healed, and full of vitality. Praise God!
While He did all that He did before the foundation of the world, His Word is never dated; it is NOW in every generation. Jude 1:3 says, "….contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." The word "contend" in the Greek literally means to appropriate; it also means to engage in a contest, usually with skill and commitment in an opposing manner. So this text is a call to appropriate the reality of your salvation (i.e., healing, victory, peace, wisdom, etc.). And you do this with the understanding that it is for NOW. Therefore, when it comes to your salvation package, you must change our attitude from promise to inheritance. Your health is not a promise; it is your right. Your victory is your right! So, take it now!
