I KNOW THE FATHER IS WITH ME

Grace Daily Devotional

11/22/2024

"Lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen" (Mathew 28:20).

I have seen Christians get terrified over losing a job or a negative health prognosis, with their anxiety affecting those around them. But here's my question: If we truly believe that God's Word is true, why should we allow fear to dominate us?  It has to be one of two things. It's either we don't have a consciousness of the Father's Presence, or we don't know how to appropriate His Presence. The Father is not with us so that we can feel religious. Instead, He is with us by His Spirit for the purpose stated by Jesus in John 15:26 and John 16:13-14. Most Christians today would agree with me that God is with them. However, saying so has become a cliche; it is often not done from a place of revelation. Yet, mere information will not bring about the changes that we so desperately desire. A divine consciousness of the reality of the Father's Presence is what we need to see the mountains crumble before us.

There is a difference between information and revelation. Information is gained through mental processes, but revelation is imparted into your spirit by the Holy Ghost without your mental faculty. Better still, information is for the head, while revelation is the knowledge of the Holy Spirit that is for your spirit. Many of God's people have information or "head knowledge," which is why they tend to shrink in the face of adversity. They react like the rest of the world that do not have the life and the nature of God. They panic and go haywire looking for man's solution because that is all they know.

Think about this for a moment. Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do: for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise..." (John 5:19). Not only was Jesus aware of the Father's Presence, but He also knew what to look out for and how to behave in other to see the demonstration of the power of that Presence. He was conscious of the Father's behavior (Words and deeds) and acted accordingly; only then did He witness the release of the power. Wow! He said what He heard the Father say and did what He saw the Father do. In John 14:10, Jesus said, "Believeth thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works." Jesus was saying in essence, "When I spoke what I heard from my Father's lips, there was a manifestation of His power." The revelation that Jesus unveils here is that miracles are the result of the spoken Word of God. The Father is only obliged to intervene when you say what He said and do what you see Him do. Hallelujah!

Child of God, the Holy Ghost is with you in the totality of the Father's glory and power. You may not even feel like He is there, but He is with you. Someone may ask, "If God is with me, why did such and such happen to me?" The real question should be, do you have "head knowledge" that He is with you, or do you know by revelation that He is with you? Also, did you say what He said, and have you acted in love? Jesus is a living example of what is possible with the Father in you. With the consciousness that the Father is with you, boldness will spring forth from within you like a volcano. Fear and anxiety will be things of the past. Regardless of what you hear and face each day, there will be a "knowing" that you are more than a conqueror.

Hallelujah!

Faith-filled Confession:

I am conscious of the Father's Presence with me today. I do not panic or fret in the face of challenges. I know that all things work together for my good. Praise God!

PRAYER DIRECTION

Luke 22:31-32

Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Pray that God’s people will live victorious over every temptation and trail that will come that way today. Pray that they will not succumb to the pressure of this world to compromise on their faith. Declare that the plan of the enemy against them will not prosper in Jesus name.

Luke 9:62 TLB

But Jesus told him, “Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”

Pray against anything that will distract the brethren from fulfilling their God given mandate.

Ephesians 3:16

May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].

Pray that they will be strengthen and inspired in their devotion to the guidance and instruction of the Holy Spirit.
