“How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.” (1 Corinthians 14:26)
When a meeting of believers is called and this might be weekly, bi-weekly or at specific times, you ought to have something. What do I mean by having something? I mean, have something from the Lord that He has given you for the meeting.
This is why you must make a habit of praying in tongues for every meeting of believers that you attend and receive something of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 12:7 says, “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.” God wants to bless others in the congregation through you and vice versa.
So after you pray about the meeting, God may say to you, “I am with you” which means you are taking His presence to the meeting. He may give you a scripture or word of encouragement for someone or the larger congregation. He may give you a song. Whatever the Lord gives you, is for the edification of the body and He will show you opportunities to deploy whatever He gives to you for His Body.
This is why speaking in tongues about a service is all important. You have something of the Lord that He wants to deploy through you.
Be sensitive about every meeting from this time onwards because, if we are all paying attention like we should, the Spirit’s influence will be greatly enhanced not just over our church family but over the entire city and beyond.
Meditate about these things and have a wonderful day.
Faith-Filled Confession
I am God’s vessel and God’s answer to my fellow believers. I am also His solution to my city, country and world. I thank God as I am responsive to the desires of the Spirit regarding every meeting of believers, going forward. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
