GET ON WITH GOD

Grace Daily Devotional

12/31/2024

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps” (Proverbs 16:9).

There is a saying that “Whatever is mine is mine.”  I can’t tell you enough how this thinking has made a failure out of many. It’s not a Bible truth. Yet many of God's people have adopted it as their mindset and I would not be surprised to hear some preach about it. Listen, just because God has earmarked something to your account does not guarantee that you will enjoy it without the application of faith. Romans 12:3 tells us that God has dealt to everyone the measure of faith. And in Romans 5:2 the Bible says, “Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God." This means that faith is the instrument for collection. It’s how you enjoy whatever grace has made available to you in Christ Jesus. So the idea that because something is yours it will come to you is from the pit of hell. You may as well sit at home and hope that a college degree will come to you if you don’t register for college and study for the exams.

Whatever the Lord has in store for you in 2025 will not happen if you don’t align yourself with the Holy Ghost. This is why you must plan with the Word ahead of time. You must reject the notion that says, “if it’s not God’s will, it will not happen.” Saint, you cannot enter 2025 with this mindset. Although the Bible clearly states that God's will is for us to enjoy divine health, we still have many Christians suffering from various forms of illnesses. Does it then mean that God wants His children to be sick? A thousand times NO! It’s our responsibility of faith as God's people to determine what God has in store for you and to take a stand against any opposition. Jesus said in Matthew 18:18, “I can guarantee this truth: Whatever you imprison, God will imprison. And whatever you set free, God will set free.” In other words, it is your responsibility to disallow those things that are inconsistent with God’s will for your life and to allow those things that are in His will. This is why you must get into God’s plan for 2025 through your fellowship with the Holy Spirit, because how then would you know what is in His will and what isn't in His will.

So be mindful of Proverbs 16:9 which says: “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Get on God’s program and prepare for a glorious new year.

You are blessed.
