BE JESUS

Grace Daily Devotional

11/23/2024

"I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows Me in faith, believing in Me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!"  (John 14:12 TPT)

When you study the life and the miracles of Jesus, you would agree that there was an unusual boldness about the way He conducted Himself. Jesus casted out devils and healed the sick with great audacity! He did it with so much swag that the religious rulers said to themselves, "Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!" (Mark 6:2). In Mark 4, you see this audacity and swag in action again. The Bible says that "...He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And He said to His disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Where is your faith?" (v.39)  "They were terrified and asked each other, what kind of man is this? Even the wind and the water obey Him!" (v.41).

Jesus never succumbed to fear. He was never defeated or disadvantaged. He mastered every situation and circumstance. The same thing that paralyzed others did not affect Him. Jesus was untouched and untroubled by the things that troubled others. He was able to demonstrate such audacity and power because of the knowledge He had. He knew who He was and what He carried on the inside. In John 8:23, He said, "…you are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world." Only Jesus could talk like this. He was conscious of His origin and all that belonged to Him. And this is why I'd often say that the problem with many Christians is not with the challenges that come their way but their knowledge of their divine nature. Hosea 4:6 says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge..." If you understood what it means for you to be called the temple of the Holy Ghost, the doubt and fear would fade away. Your very presence will become a terror to devils and hell.

Imagine Jesus in our day, in the midst of all that's happening in the world. How do you think He'd respond? He has called you to respond in like fashion and to produce greater results! Jesus said in John 14:12, "I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows Me in faith, believing in Me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with My Father!" Ephesians 6:1 says, "Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as His beloved sons and daughters."  So rather than wish that Jesus was here today, BE JESUS to that challenge. Do what Jesus would do. Talk to the storm, cast out devils, and heal the sick. You have God living on the inside of you,  be audacious! Carry yourself with some Holy Ghost swag.

God bless you.

Faith-Filled Confession:

Thank You, Father God, for calling me to a life of glory and excellence and making me an expression of divinity in the realm of humanity. I declare that I walk as the light of the world today. I am enabled to be the manifestation of Your glory everywhere I go today. In Jesus' name. Amen!

PRAYER DIRECTION

Luke 22:31-32

Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Pray that God’s people will live victorious over every temptation and trail that will come that way today. Pray that they will not succumb to the pressure of this world to compromise on their faith. Declare that the plan of the enemy against them will not prosper in Jesus name.

Luke 9:62 TLB

But Jesus told him, “Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”

Pray against anything that will distract the brethren from fulfilling their God given mandate.

Ephesians 3:16

May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].

Pray that they will be strengthen and inspired in their devotion to the guidance and instruction of the Holy Spirit.
