Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12).
Ephesians 1:3 says that God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Meaning, no matter the situation you find yourself in, God’s blessings have given you the advantage. Notice it didn’t say that God is going to bless us, but that God has already blessed us. So, why do some complain about rent, car note, student loan etc in the midst of all the blessings of God in their lives? Psalm 82:5-7 says "They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes."
God wants us to give thanks, not complaints. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” So when you get an email saying that such and such bill is due, rejoice! Glory to God!
Make no mistake about it, challenges will come, but in the midst of it all, lift your hands and say, “Lord, I give thanks, for greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. You are my helper and I will not fear what man can do to me” Child of God, there’s no need to complain or fret about any adverse situation; you were born into victory; you can’t be disadvantaged. Shout Amen.
Romans 8:28 says, “…we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” James 1:2 says “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations” Even now, lift your hands and give thanks because you’ve overcome the world; you’re more than a conqueror! Hallelujah!
David said, “…I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1). Keep His praise in your mouth, not sometimes, but always. That’s how victors live: they don’t complain; they praise; they give thanks to the Lord.
So, be filled with praise, no matter the situation. There is power in praising God.
God bless you.
Faith filled confession:
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Irrespective of the circumstances I may face, my mouth will stay filled with praises to my Lord, my God, my King.
